About us
I started working around my parents’ restaurant at the age of 9. Even at that age, I could see how inspired I was by how hard my parents worked. Growing up, I watched chefs like Julia Child, Jacques Pépin, Justin Wilson, Emeril Lagasse, José Andrés, Rick Bayless, and many more.
I could never have imagined that these world-class chefs would have such a great influence on me. But the chef I give all the credit to is my mother, Santa Cruz — the one I watched cooking great, traditional Mexican dishes and, of course, Tex-Mex. This is what we are known for!
Most customers don’t know the difference. At Tejas Mexican Grill, you have the choice between Tex-Mex or authentic Mexican-style dishes.
